Bide Awhile is currently seeking leaders to join its Board of Directors at an important moment as we move into implementation of our strategic plan. Our Board helps the organization by guiding strategy, governance, and long-term sustainability. Board Members commit approximately 4-6 hours per month and serve a renewable, one-year term.
 
As a leader in Nova Scotia’s animal welfare space, Bide Awhile supports communities through care and adoption services, while advocating responsible pet ownership.
 
We’re looking for leaders with experience in:

  • Finance, audit, accounting, or banking oversight
  • Governance and risk oversight
  • Legal expertise (charity, corporate, governance)
  • Fundraising, philanthropy, and fund development
  • Business acumen and organizational sustainability
