Spook's Memorial

Spaying and neutering help

Every year, about 11 million North American dogs and cats are euthanized because no one wants them. That’s why we need to reduce the number of litters born. The only way to do this is by making sure our pets are neutered or spayed. We’re working with our community to eliminate unwarranted euthanasia in Nova Scotia.

Spook’s Memorial Kitty was established to help people in financial hardship spay and neuter their pets. If you qualify, this program will offset some of the operation costs. Please contact Bide Awhile Animal Shelter if you would like to apply.
