Thanks so much for your interest in our Cat Yoga Fundraisers! As a not-for-profit animal shelter, we are always looking for fun and unique ways to engage the community, but more importantly, to raise funds to help cats and dogs in need.
With no overhead costs, and certified yoga instructor Patti MacAulay volunteering her time, one-hundred percent of the proceeds from these sessions go right back to the shelter to help cover the costs of caring for our animals.
Every cat and dog that leaves Bide Awhile has been tested for feline leukemia (cats*), are spayed or neutered, microchipped, have had their health checked, are vaccinated, dewormed, groomed, socialized and much more. Your $20 fee helps us maintain these necessary services and standard of care for our animals, and makes a direct impact on the lives of animals in need. So, thank you for your support!
The Cat Yoga sessions take place in our community room, located in the basement of the shelter; individuals over the age of 16 are welcome to attend the classes. Bide Awhile is located at 67 Neptune Crescent in Dartmouth – we’re just up the road from the Dartmouth General Hospital in Woodside Industrial Park.
We ask that you arrive ten minutes early to sign in, get set up, and of course, meet our participating cats. Please, bring a water bottle and your own yoga mat – as we only have a few on hand. Feel free to bring your phone or camera and share your photos with us on social media, too!
Finally, have an awesome time at Cat Yoga!
*****Please note, our Cat Yoga Fundraisers are for individuals that are 16 years of age and older. Despite our best efforts, in past sessions some children have slipped through and participated. As our instructor is only certified to teach those aged 16+, children who arrive on the day of the event will not be permitted in the class – and we will be making no exceptions. Sorry for any inconvenience.
